It’s not black metal, but I know a lot of you are going to love this. Enemies List has produced yet another musical masterpiece, very similar to Giles Corey(the guy from Afterlives is, coincidentally, Dan Barrett’s brother). Afterlives’ debut album, A Ticking Clock I Couldn’t Stop, is a haunting, personal, moving set of songs.

I can’t think of many words to describe this album. It’s that good. Lo-fi. Shoegaze. Depressive rock. Whatever you want to call it, it’s a beauty. It also includes averydifferent cover of Everlong, by Foo Fighters. Kind of surprised me when I heard it. But it’s good, I’ll tell you that.
